German driving horse treated with forbidden medicine
Warendorf, 14 November
Mister, one of the horses of German teamdriver Christoph Sandmann, was treated with the forbidden medicine Betametason during the World Championships Four-in-Hand in August.
This medicine, whichs slows down infections, is not on the list of forbidden medications, but may not be used at competitions. The FEI will decide about punishment. Veterinarian Dr. Gerd Heuschmann of the German team has taken the responsibility and has resigned.
