Lipica: Hot and cloudy marathon

Today’s marathon at the wonderful Lipica Stud Farm took place under hot and cloudy conditions. The continuous breeze made the heat bearable for horses, competitors and spectators.

Level 4 Course Designer Gábor Fintha from Hungary had designed seven challenging, technical and fluent obstacles. The OC had taken all the necessary precautions to ensure the welfare of the horses in this heat. The speed was taken down in all sections, the time window was widened and there was plenty of ice and water available. All horses and ponies passed the finish line of the marathon without any problems.
