EC Youth: Germany in the lead

The German team is in the lead after dressage and marathon at the FEI European Youth Driving Championships in Szilvásvárad, Hungary. Austria is in second place with only three penalty points difference. Hungary lies third and is 18 penalty points behind Germany. Belgium is in fourth place.

The top three in the Children's class was dominated by the Hungarian drivers. Ábel Tabajdi won, ahead of Liliána Szajkó and dressage winner Anett Érsek, who has kept the lead in the standings.

The marathon in the Juniors class was also won by a Hungarian competitor. Marina Genzwein won this phase of the competition, ahead of her Austrian opponents Bernhard Obenaus and Viktoria Gösweiner. Dressage winner Monika Swiecicka (POL) came sixth and is still in the lead.

Poland's Filip Nowacki was too fast for his opponents in the marathon of the Young Drivers class. He beat Austria's Roman Elend and his compatriot Marcin Kilanczyk. Nowacki has moved up to the second place in the standigs and is within one penalty point of Anika Geiger. Jacqueline Pirhofer (AUT) is in third position, within two penalty points from Geiger which will ensure an exciting final obstacle driving competition tomorrow.
