Successful Youngsters Driving Show at Gothenburg Horse Show

On Saturday evening the arena of the Gothenburg Horse Show was reserved for a spectacular driving show featuring eight young and talented drivers. The huge crowd was very excited and enthusiastic and the young drivers shone like stars. Linnea Kristiansen and Plassens Luckey Luke stole the show star and won the competition.

The mirrored course was rather technical and narrow with many turns, but the youngsters drove fluent and fast. Course Designer Patrick Strauss commented: “The course put the drivers to the test in the turns and with speed.” The youngsters had help during the course walk from the very experienced Axel Olin, the Swedish international four-in-hand driver.

The show in the prestigious arena in the Scandinavium offered a fantastic opportunity to introduce the driving sport to a wide public and to attract new athletes to the driving sport. Some people in the audience even commented that this show was even more fun than the four-in-hand driving! This concept deserves to be continued in Sweden and in the rest of Europe.
