Successful FEI World Cup™ Driving Seminar in Assen
Assen (NED) was the meeting place for international Driving Judges and Officials who attended the successful FEI World Cup™ Driving Seminar. Over twenty international Judges, Course Designers and Technical Delegates from the Netherlands, Belgium, Great Britain, Sweden, Switzerland and Germany had travelled to the north of the Netherlands on.The seminar took place close to the TT Hall where a six four-in-hand drivers battled in a World Cup Test event on Friday 10 and Saturday 11 October. The Organising Committee is hoping to be able to organize an official FEI World Cup™ Driving event next year.
Course Directors Dr. Klaus Christ and Klaus Peppersack took the participants of the course through the FEI World Cup™ Driving rules on Friday afternoon. The group was invited by the OC of the NIC Assen on Friday evening to attend the first competition of the World Cup Test Event from the hospitality area. This offered the perfect opportunity to put the many different subjects discussed during the day were to practice.
The competition was positively evaluated in the classroom on Saturday morning and several international four-in-hand drivers joined the group for an open discussion about the FEI World Cup™ Driving.
In the afternoon, the Judges got the unique chance to watch the new FEI Dressage test for Singles driven live. Pony four-in-hand driver Jannes Kinds who lives nearby, had kindly put his dressage field at the disposal. Reigning FEI World Champion Para Driving Jacques Poppen (NED) drove the new dressage test and several parts with his talented Arabo Friesian horse P.P., which resulted in useful information for the Judges and the makers of the Dressage Test, which is not finalized yet.
The successful seminar ended with another visit to the TT Hall for the final round of the World Cup Test Event on Saturday evening.
