Six candidates for the FEI Driving Committee
As of this moment six candidates,Andrew Counsell (GBR), Miguel Angel Gutierrez Camarillo (ESP), Jeroen Houterman (NED), Friedrich Otto-Erley (GER), Hillar Talts (EST) and Chester Weber (USA) have been put forward by their respective Federations to replace Joaquin Medina (ESP) on the FEI Driving Committee.The FEI Driving Committee has publicized that preference will be given to a candidate with a strong background in the organization of a driving competition.
The aforementioned candidates all possess a talent for organization. Level 3 judge and level 2 course designer Miguel Gutierrez hosts an international driving competition at his farm in Salteras. Level 2 judge Chester Weber is involved in many facets of the sport, including organizing the prestigious Live Oak competition at his estate in Florida, USA. Jeroen Houtermans name is synonymous with combined driving both in the Netherlands and abroad. In addition to his work as a course designer and TD, he has been a steadfast member of the organizing committee for the International competition in Kronenberg. Hillar Talts is closely involved with the organization of CAI Olustvere, Estonia, and is also active as a Level 2 international judge, course designer, TD, and steward. Andrew Counsell is a Level 4 judge and Fritz Otto-Erley is a Level 2 TD and steward.
The FEI will announce their selection for the Driving Committee on 17 November at the General Assembly.

*) Kwiatek is stepping down as the FEI Athletes Representative Driving. The vote for the new representative will begin 29 July.
