Aachen: Great win for Glenn Geerts
Glenn Geerts from Belgium won the indoor World Cup style marathon in the main stadium in Aachen this morning. Geerts performed extremely well with his team of chestnuts KWPN-outdoor horses on the grass and sand footing in the stadium where he put down the fastest time in a clear round. Both IJsbrand Chardon and Koos de Ronde tried very hard to beat the young driver, but a knock down kept them from winning this show class.![](https://www.hoefnet.nl/wp-content/uploads/hoefnetimages/150531 DC Glenn Geerts-AKEN15X1738.jpg)

Both Chardon and De Ronde used their indoor horses this weekend in the impressive main stadium. Chardon drove very clean and fast, but had one ball down and finished second, closely followed by his compatriot De Ronde.
Boyd Exell finished fourth in the special four-in-hand class during this ‘Aachen-light’ version, ahead of the best performing German driver Michael Brauchle, who used a small jumping horse in the lead of his team. USA’s Chester Weber finished on the 6th place with his alternate team of horses, of which two are owned by Dutch four-in-hand driver Mark Weusthof.
