Prior to the FEI World Cup™ Driving in Mechelen, four-in-hand driver Félix-Marie Brasseur received the first Mia Allo Trophy and he was awarded for his impressive driving career by the national driving commission of the KBRSF, the Belgian Equestrian Federation.
Furthermore, Brasseur received the Lifetime Achievement Award from Philip De Meersman, Secretary General of the KBRSF. His previous sponsors and partners Jan De Clerck, Philippe Dubaere, Antonio Simoes and the KBRSF, presented this terracotta horse to Brasseur.
Brasseur is the most successful Belgian carriage driver in history. He won individual gold twice, various silver and bronze individual and team medals and a large number of international competitions.
Brasseur will remain active in the driving sport as trainer of the French drivers and as private trainer. The 63-year old professional is furthermore a qualified FEI Judge, Technical Delegate, Course Designer and Steward.
The Mia Allo Trophy was introduced in memory of the successful pony team driver Mia Allo, who passed away in 2014. The Belgian driver with the best international dressage score of the year wins the Trophy. This year, the Trophy was won by Félix-Marie Brasseur who set the highest score in the four-in-hand class at the CAI3* Saumur, France. Brasseur received the metal plaque from member of the driving commission Thibault Danthine, who represented the Boterman-Allo family.
