New Stewards at FEI Course in Vienna
The Austrian Equestrian Federation hosted an FEI Driving Course for Stewards from 11 to 13 March, directed by FEI Steward General Jan Devaere from Belgium. From the 14 entered candidates, there were 10 participants present from Austria, Hungary and the Czech Republic.Frank Spadinger, Sports Coordinator of the Austrian Federation, was responsible for the organisation. The course took place in a nice room in the new riding hall of the ASKÖ Riding Center Freudenau in Vienna. On Saturday evening the group was invited by the Austrian Equestrian Federation for a very nice dinner.
Besides the theoretical part, there was also a practical part and the candidates were able to get experience from the single and pair of horses, which were invited for this reason.
In the end, six new Level 1 Stewards and two Level 2 Stewards were welcomed. The present Level 3 Stewards were able to share their knowledge and experience with all participants.
