Tomas Eriksson in game show on Swedish television

Former successful international four-in-hand driver Tomas Eriksson participates in the popular game show “Mästarnas mästare” (Champion of Champions) on Swedish television. Eriksson was recently asked to replace hockey player Anders Hedberg who had to withdraw last minute on doctor’s advice.

Former elite athletes compete against each other in this popular game show. “ It’s going to be great fun,” tells Eriksson who was able to make some time free despite his busy schedule at the farm. “When I look at the starting field I think it will be tough, but I will show them what a farmer from Bjäre can do!”

Normally, this program is recorded abroad, but due to the corona pandemic, this year’s edition of “Champion of the Champions” is recorded in Eriksson’s home town Båstad, where he is the local hero. The recordings started last week.

The program will be broadcast on SVT1 starting next year.

Some of Sweden's top sports stars meet in physical and mental challenges. In Mästarnas mästare 2021, Fredrik Lindström, Tomas Eriksson, Johan Olsson, Sanna Tidstrand, Frida Österberg, Therese Alshammar, Bengt Gustafsson, Johanna Larsson, André Myhrer and Linnea Torstenson compete.
