Exloo: Mistakes and fast rounds in the marathon
It turned out to be a rainy marathon day today in Exloo. In the course of the day, the rain increased in intensity and a considerable wind picked up. The ground in the obstacles held up well and horses and ponies all reached the finish line without any problems.First up were the competitors in the two-star pony divisions. They rode five obstacles. Dirk Bastiaansen won his favourite part with his single pony. In three obstacles he was fastest. This moved him up to place 3 in the standings. Klaas van der Sande is still in the lead. He drove a strong marathon and already raised his arm in the air with joy after finishing the last obstacle.

Costly mistakes
Among the para-drivers, there was an exciting battle between Francisca den Elzen and Ingmar Veneman. But in the last obstacle Ingmar lost track for a momen. Francisca den Elzen won the marathon and leads with a big advantage.
Eline Mentink (2* horse pair) was not only fast, but also drove through the obstacles very smoothly. She won the marathon and now leads the standings. In the singles, Paskal de Graaf won the marathon. Niels Jonkers was fastest in the obstacles, but he got penalties in the course. The German Christian Prinz pushed Shirley Moors out of first place with second place in the marathon.
Win for both Larissa's
The competitors of the three-star competition did six obstacles. Aniek Schuiling (NED) drove an excellent marathon and won it. It put her in fifth place in the standings. Dressage winner Marije Willemsen (NED) is still in the lead.
A beautiful triumph in the marathon of the pony pairs was for Larissa Reints. Dressage winner Hugues Pottier (BEL) got twenty penalty points in the water obstacle, dropping to the tail of the standings. Sietske Flobbe (NED) is now leading the ranking. She drove in her well-known style ‘all or nothing’ . She was fast, but had a few balls off. In the Four-in-Hand pony class, Marijke Hammink (NED) increased her lead with a win in the marathon.
In the 3* single horse division, Larissa Jansma surprised again. Controlled and fast, she steered Dandy Jane through the obstacles, winning the marathon and taking the lead in the standings. Max Berlage dominated the competition in the horse pairs. He was fastest in all obstacles and passed Tor Van Den Berge in the standings. The difference between the two is only one point, so it will be exciting tomorrow! IJsbrand Chardon was the best in the Four-in-Hand horses. When the rain was at its heaviest, the marathon started for him, but he was fastest in all obstacles and is proudly in the lead.
