In addition to the open house days at Carriage Builders Van den Heuvel, the restoration competition of the Dutch Traditional Gerij Association (NVTG) will also be held on April 1. The judging of the three most interesting entries starts April 1 at 1:00 PM. The awards ceremony will then take place at 2:30 PM. Every amateur who restores and/or builds a carriage based on a classic example is eligible to participate. You do not have to be a member of the NVTG to participate.

In addition to the trophy to be won, there is also a sum of money involved, also made available by the company Van den Heuvel from Valkenswaard. Experienced carriage restorers within the Dutch Traditional Carriage Association will also be available to provide you with advice (and assistance) in finding the best solution for the restoration, if you need it.
