New dates and locations for German pony driving and horse pair championships

The German Championship for Horse Pairs takes place from July 23rd through the 28th during the Oldenburg State Show in Rastede. This national championship was initially scheduled to take place in Drebkau from June 20th through the 23rd, but the organization recently announced that it will not be holding the championship and the international competition in the same week due to too few participants.

The German association quickly found the organization in Rastede willing to integrate the championship into their event. “We are very happy that we have found a good replacement with Rastede,” said Rainer Bruelheide, chairman of the driving committee of the German Federation. “We are sure that we will have a great championship in Rastede.”

German Pony Driving Championship

The German Pony Driving Championships were originally scheduled to take place from May 16th through the 20th in Zeiskam, but had to be canceled at the last minute due to bad weather conditions. The German association has now found a new organization that will organize the German championships for single, pair and Four-in-Hand ponies. This championship will take place from August 15th through the 18th in Herchenrode. “We are very pleased that the organizing team in Herchenrode, led by Four-in-Hand driver Georg von Stein, wants to organize the German pony driving championships at the same time as the already planned German Four-in-Hand championship,” said Rainer Bruelheide.
