World Championship Szilvásvárad: One horse not ‘fit to compete’

Today the World Championships for Four-in-Hands began in Szilvásvárad, Hungary. At 10:00 am the veterinary inspection of all 215 horses present started. One horse was declared not ‘fit to compete’.

Romanian Kalman Babo’s 15-year-old Esprit will not compete. He was not approved by the judges this morning.

Dressage, the first part of the competition, starts tomorrow around 10:00 am. The second half will do their dressage test on Friday. This afternoon at 14:30 is the draw, which will determine the starting order. The start lists and results will be available on Hoefnet in due course. Saturday the marathon is on the programme and Sunday after the cones we will know who the new world champion is!
