World Cup Leipzig final qualifier for final in Bordeaux
Next weekend the eighth World Cup competition will be held in Leipzig, Germany, with a number of drivers having the last opportunity to qualify for the final during the second weekend of February in Bordeaux, France.Boyd Exell, Dries Degrieck and Bram Chardon are already certain of a final place in Bordeaux. Koos de Ronde drove strongly in the last competition in Mechelen, but is competing with a wild card in Leipzig and thus depends on the performance of Jérôme Voutaz, Glenn Geerts and Fredrik Persson. In the end, six drivers will compete at the final in Bordeaux. IJsbrand and Bram Chardon can further improve their point total; German drivers Georg von Stein and Anna Mareike Meier, like Koos, compete with a wild card and cannot earn points.
On Friday, Jan. 17, the warm-up round will be held at 10:25 p.m. ET. The World Cup competition will take place on Sunday, Jan. 19, at 12:55 p.m., after which the finalists will be known.
