Altenfelden: The winners
Last weekend, Altenfelden in Austria was the stage for an international two-and four-star driving event with 52 competitors, hosted by the Leibetseder Family. Josef Leibetseder junior was very successful at this event. He finished on a respectable 6th place in the World Cup Qualification competition and won the Austrian four-in-hand Championships.
The four-in-hand class counted 12 competitors and was dominated by father and son József Dobrovitz, followed by Ludwig Weinmayr.
Stefan Amort won the silver medal at the Championships, Christian Schlögelhofer took home the bronze.
Swiss driver Bruno Widmer won the Horse Pairs class, ahead of Josef Hrouda from the Cech Republic and home driver Isidor Weber.
Marisa Rössler from Austria performed the best in the Horse Singles class. Runner-up were her compatriots Franz Fleischmann and Adrian Unzeitig.
In the Pony Singles class it was Germany’s Theo Bopp who won, ahead of Christine Balz and Sweden’s Linnea Kristiansen.
German domination in the Pony Pairs class with Jakob Finck as the winner an Christof Weihe as runner-up, followed by Great Britain’s Roger Campbell, who is currently based in Germany.
Peter Schenk, host of the CAI Bregenz earlier this year, won the Pony Fours class, ahead of German athletes Wilhelm Tischer and Jacqueline Walter.
