Bennington Carriages new sponsor for Houtappels-Bruder

Bennington Carriages, Britains foremost horse drawn carriage manufacturer has recently developed a sponsorship agreement (partnership) with Netherlands-based Canadian single horse driver Kelly Houtappels-Bruder.

Houtappels-Bruder has been competing with a Bennington Presentation Carriage for the dressage and cones phases of competition for a number of years, and will now also be making the step over to a Bennington XL marathon carriage.

Houtappels-Bruder is a driver who has been a consistent presence on the international stage with her 11-year-old Oldenburg gelding Flip. “I am absolutely thrilled to be making this step with Bennington. I have long believed that my dressage carriage is the best out there. From the first time I drove it, it was just ‘right’; there was no learning curve when it came to cones driving and it rolls so lightly that collection and suspension in the dressage becomes less of a burden for the horses,” tells Houtappels. “Flip is a strong marathon horse and I think the Bennington XL is going to make his job even easier. Sue Mart of Bennington has been wonderful to work with and I look forward to furthering this partnership.”
