Bregenz: First dressage day
A total of 78 competitors from seven nations passed the horse inspection and today the dressage started at the 4th edition of the Bodensee Classic in Bregenz. The singles and the first half of the pony pairs class entered the arena under beautiful weather circumstances after thunder last night.Germany’s Fabian Gänshirt won the dressage with David L with 41.79, followed by Swiss Melanie Miesch with the Haflinger stallion Aachquelll. The third place went to Marlena Brenner (GER) with 46,14 penalty points. In total, nine drivers remained under 50 penalty points, which shows that the level is already quite high at the start of the season
clearly taken the lead with 42.43 ahead of Karel van Kekem (NED) and Nils Kneifel (GER).
Tomorrow the competition continues with 19 pairs and the four-in-hands where the battle will be between the Netherlands and Germany, with Switzerland and Austria as runners-up.
