Chester Weber at Nationale Tuigpaardendag

The organisers of the KWPN Nationale Tuigpaardendag have managed to get American Chester Weber, one of the most successful Four-in-Hand drivers, to give a show. In two show blocks on 10 August, he will show and explain why the Dutch harness horse is so suitable for the international driving sport.

Chester Weber had his greatest successes with Dutch harness horses. In addition to several World Championship team medals, he won three individual silver medals at the World Championships. At the World Equestrian Games in Tryon, he won team gold and the silver medal individually. Earlier this year, he became American Four-in-Hand champion for the 21st time and very recently he won the dressage in Aachen, Germany, with an impressive score.

In an interview in the 2018 KWPN Magazine, Chester Weber complimented Dutch breeders: “The Dutch breeders are incredibly innovative and do a great job. Breeding continues to progress, especially if you compare horses from 15 to 20 years ago with those of today. Years ago, you quite often saw a big head and a long back, now we work with modern horses. This shows that Dutch breeders are well aware of what the market demands.”
