Eveliina Koivula and Raisa Takkinen leading Nordic Driving Challenge before final in Tagadi

To motivate drivers in Nordic region to compete more on international level Estonian, Latvian and Finnish organizers created this year the local Cup series called Nordic Driving Challenge, final of which will be held after three legs from 12 to 15 of September 2024 in growing Estonian driving center Tagadi.

Nordic Driving Challenge is running on CAI2* level and this year the classes for single horses and single ponies are organized. The first leg of series took place in first days of June during CHI Pärnu driving event, was followed with second leg in Latvian Inchukalns and third in Ypäjä, Finland.

Final

Before the final in Tagadi, which is just 20km drive from Estonian capital Tallinn, the leadership in both classes are taken by Finnish drivers. The single horses class is lead by Eveliina Koivula (31 points) followed by Ben Simonsen (14 points) and Leena Kalalahti (11 points). In ponies category Raisa Takkinen leads in 15 points as Deilina Bishop-Westerlund have been collected 10 points and Norwegian Lise Irene Kosmo Gylseth 5 points.

In final the points will have coeficent 2, so Estinians and Latvians could have their chances also.

In Tagadi beside of Nordic Driving Challenge also CAI3* classes will be held, same as Estonian Championship and Estonian-Latvian lower level Cup final. More about Tagadi You can find
