Fundraising evening at CAI Kronenberg
On Thursday April 17, the first day of the international competition at Kronenberg, Horse Driving Kronenberg is organizing a fundraising evening to benefit the Jens Foundation. The Jens Foundation is a foundation recently established in memory of Jens Couwenberg, son of horse pair driver Erik and Suzanne Couwenberg and the brother of pony pair driver Sam Couwenberg. JENS Foundation stands for the kind, social, intelligent, connecting and hardworking “heart” of Jens with an eye for other people for whom he always had a listening ear.
JENS wanted honesty, justice and really had an eye for others. He was always there to help everyone. The foundation wants everyone, like Jens, to deserve to be heard, understood and helped. They are therefore committed to supporting people with disabilities and/or vulnerable people in horseback riding and other activities involving horses and sports and games. They also support by making the acquired funds available to institutions working in the field of health care.
ORO Foundation
One of the foundations they support is the ORO Foundation. The proceeds from Thursday April 17, will be used entirely for the purchase of a special horse-drawn carriage, so that the youth and (young) adults with physical and mental disabilities can experience maximum happiness in the wonderful sport of driving. In the VIP-tent of Horse Driving Kronenberg a special auction will be held on Thursday evening at 19;30 with various unique products/activities that can be bid on.
More information about the items that can be bid on and the tickets for the fundraising evening can be found on the JENS Foundation website.
