Nominated and Additional entries European Championship for Youth Flyinge announced
The list of Nominated and Additional Individual Entries for the FEI Driving European Championship for Youth 2024 is published. The future of the Driving sport is competing in Flyinge, Sweden from 22-28 July for the Championship titles. In the Nominated and Additional entries, 17 nations and 137 Drivers have been entered, which is a new record number of drivers.Each National Federation is allowed to send a maximum number of 6 drivers per age category. This means that a maximum of six Children, six Juniors and six U25 drivers per nation can start at the beautiful facilites of Flyinge. Each NF can choose minimum one and maximum two team members per age category who were entered in the Nominated Entries, to be part of the Team fighting for the Team Championship titles. The Team Members must be announced latest one hour after the First Horse Inspection. The team classification will be determined by adding together the scores from the Athlete in each age category with the lowest penalties in each Competition, who completed the event without Elimination.
Surprisingly there is one nation missing on the list, who has competed at the previous Youth Championships. Austria has drivers who were eager to go to the Youth Championship but the entry by their Federation was not submitted on time. They will therefore not compete for the European titles this year.
The definite entry date is 24 June, after which the list with the definite entries will be published.
