Important announcement for competitors heading to Saumur

The organization of the International combined driving event in Saumur from June 1-5, 2016 ask competitors to pay attention to the following:

There is at this moment a pressing shortage of fuel at the French petrol stations. Six out of the eight refineries in France are on strike. Almost one third of petrol stations in France are in partly closed due to a shortage of fuel. The stations where it is still possible to get fuel have long queues. 

The organization suggests that competitors fill up their trucks at the Leclerc supermarket in Saumur upon arrival (at the same exit) before they drive to the showgrounds. The area around Saumur has had very few problems with the delivery of diesel.

There is a tank with diesel available at the showgrounds in Saumur for those who need to top up their tanks just a bit before leaving.
