Driving enthusiast Willy Naessens passed away

Driving enthusiast and owner of the well-known industrial and swimming pool company Willy Naessens from Belgium has passed away. His family announces that he passed away today surrounded by his family.

Willy Naessens made a fall at the end of January, breaking his hip. During the recovery process, however, a number of complications occurred that left him very weakened, ultimately leading to his death.

Willy Naessens was born on February 14, 1939, as son of an Elsegem miller. Very young, he took his first steps into entrepreneurship as a chicken breeder and barn creator, after which he devoted his life to building his company into a renowned international player in the construction and food sectors. His dedication and determination, as well as his folksy character, made him an iconic figure who left his mark on the entrepreneurial landscape in Belgium.

In addition to his successful entrepreneurship, Willy was very passionate about the driving sport. For 15 years, he sponsored the highly successful Belgian Horse teams driver Gert Schrijvers, and with his company he also contributed to the successes of big names as Boyd Exell and Dries Degrieck.

His legacy and the values he leaves behind will be continued by his children and staff with the same passion and dedication. The family asks for the necessary rest and serenity in the period ahead.
