Pau 2019: Leena Kalalahti claims Cones competition

Leena Kalalahti claimed the victory in the Cones competition this morning at the CAI4* in Pau. The Finnish lady drove a clear round in the fastest time of the day and herewith climbed 10 places in the individual standings. The second place went to Dutch driver Rudolf Pestman, who was only 0,36 seconds slower. Best French driver in the Cones competition was Françoise Dubos, who took the third place.

No less than seven drivers remained clear in the course, designed by French Level 4 Course Designer Jacques Tamalet, amongst which Belgium’s Laure Philippot who herewith confirmed her leading position.
The top three after Dressage remained unchanged after the Cones with Fabrice Martin in second place.

In the Nations Cup, France is followed very closely by Germany and the Netherlands, which will result in an exciting marathon competition on Sunday.
