Pau: no extra competitors

The organisation of the FEI World Pony Driving Championships in Pau from 30 October to 3 November have carefully looked at the timetable and planning and concluded that they cannot invite more competitors.

The main reason is the daylight. The marathon must take place within a certain number of hours to ensure daylight for all competitors. The timetable foreseen as per the nominated entries, 73 competitors from 16 nations amongst which 10 nations teams, does not allow more drivers, as they would run the risk, in case of any incident, to have competitors finishing in the dark.
