Record number of competitors at FEI World Pairs Lipica
A record number of 82 competitors from 23 nations will compete in the 17th edition of the FEI World Driving Championships for Pairs in Lipica, Slovenia, from 20th to 24th September. Nineteen nations will battle it tout for the team medals.Miha Tavcar is one of the Slovenian competitors

The complete individual podium of the World Championships 2015 will be represented with title defender Vilmos Lázár, silver medallist Zoltán Lázár and bronze medal winner József Dibak.
The site of the Lipizzaner Stud Farm Lipica is ready to welcome the competitors and their 241 horses. The pair drivers will have the honour to be one of the first ones to enter the completely renovated main stadium. The hippodrome offers seating for a large number of spectators and parts of the grand stands are covered as well.
International Level 4 Course Designer Gábor Fintha is responsible for the course design, including the eight fantastic marathon obstacles, which can be followed closely by the spectators.
The Championships start on Wednesday 20th September with the horse inspection, followed by two days of dressage on Thursday and Friday. The marathon is scheduled on Saturday 23rd September, followed by the obstacle driving competition and medal ceremony on Sunday 24th September.
