Salteras: Sunny Cones Sunday
The final cones competition of the CAI2* and Andalusian Championships started this morning with a lovely breeze as the sun came out. Course Designer Vilmos Jámbor had laid out a technical course, which was a big challenge for the 24 competitors.Singles
Ana Muñoz lost her first place after collecting too many penalty points. The victory went to Jose A. Garcia, followed by cones winner Joaquin Rodriguez Ramirez and Ana Muñoz.

Pairs
Daniel Gutierrez had the best performance in the cones with his brother’s nice pair of horses and moved up to the third place. Jose Gayan managed to keep his leading position and was very happy with his victory. The second place went to Antonio Repullo.

Fours
Juan Real Garcia was well on his way to secure his victory in the four-in-hand class, but took a gate from the wrong side and was eliminated. Llibert Calvet showed his driving skills throughout the competition and was very pleased to be declared the winner after three competitions. Cones winner Ernesto Colman Mena was very happy with his horses and his performance during his first competition after some time of absence, finishing in second position. The third place went to Jose Barranco.
Organiser Miguel Gutierrez and his team can look back to a very successful inaugural edition of the CAI2* competition in Salteras and will hopefully be able to welcome more competitors from Spain and outside Spain at the site of Quemadales Stables in the future.
