Seven Nations Teams in Lipica

From 10th to 13th October, the world-famous Lipica stud farm will be the venue for the first Nations Cup for Horse Pairs (CAIO4*-H2) in Slovenia. Seven Nations Teams have enetered for this premiere. Teams from Austria, Switzerland, Croatia, Hungary, Italy, Serbia and, of course, host nation Slovenia will compete over three days.

Famous drivers in Lipica

The competition is also open to Horse Singles (CAI2* and CAI3*) and ponies (2* singles, pairs and four-in-hands) as well as a CAI2* class for the Horse Pairs. The international field of competitors includes well-known and famous names, such as father and son Werner and Stefan Ulrich, who were recently very successful at the FEI World Championship for singles in Haras du Pin, with individual bronze for Stefan and the fifth place for Werner. Hungary is sending five strong drivers and Italy is also well represented with loyal Lipica guests Francesco Aletti Montano, Ugo Cei and Jozsef Dibak.

Slovenian Championships

Besides the international competitions, Slovenian drivers compete for top honours in the Slovenian national championship. Among them is also young talent. The son of Slovenia’s top driver Miha Tavčar, Žiga Tavčar, will start in the national Children category.
