Update on allocation WCH Young Horses 2025
Recently we brought out the news that the FEI is looking for organizations to host the FEI Driving World Championship for Young Horses 2025. This year's World Championship was to be held in Le Pin au Haras (FRA), but the organizers indicated that they would ultimately be unable to host this championship. The bidding process has therefore been reopened and Kisbér-Aszar (HUN) has already made itself available. They propose to organize this year’s World Championship for Young Horses from August 1 to 3.
French federation
Hoefnet was in contact with the French federation about it. “On December 4, the organization of Le Pin informed the FEI that they will not be able to organize the World Championship for Young Horses in 2025. On December 24, the French federation proposed to the FEI to compensate for Le Pin’s withdrawal by organizing this FEI championship, with its associated challenges, for the third consecutive year.”
“We asked the FEI to minimize the cost of FEI Officials, with ideas that fit within the rules in force. The FEI thanked us. On February 14, they informed us that the FEI Driving Technical Committee rejected the proposal and that the FEI would reopen registration for this championship.”
“At the same time, we brought up many suggestions to make the World Young Thoroughbreds Championship sustainable. For example, we looked into the revision of the FEI rules and the newly established FEI Driving Young Horses working group. We hope that the situation will be resolved soon and that the framework of this championship will be better in the future.”
