Valkenswaard: Sandmann and Dengg lead the Weboth Pro Am Challenge

At the conclusion of the dressage competition, the team consisting of Christoph Sandmann (GER) and Johan Dengg (SWE) have taken the lead in the first ever Weboth Pro Am Challenge 2016 held at Driving Valkenswaard International. 

Sandmann finished second today in dressage with a score of 44,12 penalty points and Johan Dengg finished 14th with a score of 61,35 giving them a combined score of 105,47. Sandmann and Dengg are now holding a lead of 4,02 penalty points in front of second placed team Fredrik Persson and Wilf Bowman-Ripley.

The third placed team of Mareike Harm and Harry Streutker have a combined score of 116,45 followed closely by the youngsters Anna Sandmann and Edouard Simonet (117,08), Misdee Wrigley-Miller and Georg von Stein (117,45) and Rene Poensgen and Herman ter Harmsel (118,69)

Tomorrow the competitors will be taking on a marathon consisting of seven obstacles designed by level 4 course designer Jeroen Houterman. The teams consist of one professional (Pro) and one amateur (Am) and it is the intention that the drivers work together and help each other as much as possible throughout the competition to achieve the best result possible over the three days.

At the close of each day, the scores of both team members are combined and an intermediate result is posted. The Weboth Pro Am Challenge is an initiative of Driving Valkenswaard International and has been made possible by Boots and Dave Wright from Weboth Farm in Ocala, Florida (USA).
