WEG Normandy: In Memoriam Dr. Franz Vetter Trophy

The In Memoriam Dr. Franz Vetter Trophy will be presented to the winner of the Dressage Competition at the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games™ in Normandy. The trophy will be presented by Dr. Vetter’s wife, Carola Vetter.

The initiative for this Trophy was taken after the sudden death of international O-judge Dr. Franz Vetter on 2 August 2012, just before the FEI World Four-in-hand Driving Championships in Riesenbeck.
Dr. Vetter was a very welcome and respected judge at a large number of international driving events worldwide. Franz Vetter was President or Member of the Ground Jury at several World-and European Championships such as the World four-in-hand Championships in Beesd 2008, the World Singles in Pratoni 2010, the European four-in-hand Championships in Breda 2011 and international competitions such as Aachen, Beekbergen, Breda, Dillenburg, Donaueschingen, Dorthealyst, Lezirias, Lipica, Ocala, Riesenbeck, Saumur and Vecsés.

With the In Memoriam Dr. Franz Vetter Trophy, the remembrance of Dr. Vetter will be kept alive.
The In Memoriam Dr. Franz Vetter Trophy will be presented to the winner of the Dressage on Friday evening 5th September during the Prize Giving Ceremony of the Dressage.
