World Cup final 2025 in Bordeaux this weekend!

Who will win the 2025 World Cup in a thrilling final in Bordeaux, France ... the cards are shuffled, the finalists are known. Last year Bram Chardon was the big winner in Bordeaux and he is eager to prolong his title.

Three Dutchmen, an Australian, a Belgian and a Swiss driver will decide next weekend who will win the 2025 World Cup. In the eight previous qualifiers, Boyd Exell scored the most points, but Bram Chardon and Dries Degrieck were hot on the Australian rider’s heels with both only three points less than Boyd.

Boyd will do his utmost to recapture the World Cup and win his 11th title. He hopes that his long-serving horse Bundy achieves his 100th FEI Driving World Cup™ victory, as he has been a mainstay of the indoor team since 2011 and has helped the Australian achieve more victories than anyone else.

But never, ever underestimate father IJsbrand Chardon in a final. IJsbrand loves the excitement and is at his best when the pressure is at its highest. Also the experienced Koos de Ronde knows like no other how to peak at the right moment and Jérôme Voutaz knows how to surprise friend and foe with his small, fast Freibergers.

Wild card for Benjamin Aillaud

Also appearing at the start in Bordeaux is the wild card from the host country, Benjamin Aillaud. He has not competed as a qualified athlete this season, but did finish second in Lyon as a wild card – participant.

The course designer is Jeroen Houterman, who has been behind most of the courses this season. Anne-Marie Turbé returns as chairman of the jury with Camille Eslan as head steward.

Programme

On Saturday February 8 the first round, the warm-up, will be the final event of the evening. At 11:05 p.m. local time you can watch the competition live in the arena, either at home on the couch with a snack and a drink via livestream.

The counter is back to zero … all finalists have equal chances. Saturday the World Cup final will start at 11:05 p.m. with the warm-up round. 50% of the score difference (converted into seconds) between each driver and the winner Saturday night are extra seconds that will be taken into the final round Sunday.

So Saturday’s result counts toward Sunday’s final result! Sunday’s final round will begin at 4:45 pm. After the drive-off, the winner of the 2024-2025 World Cup season will be known!

The competition can be followed live via ClipMyHorse, FEI Driving’s YouTube – page and FEI Driving’s FB – page.
