Internationale promotie voor juryleden Bonhof en Boom

Dutch driving judges Peter Bonhof and Jaap Boom are internationally promoted. International judge Peter Bonhof has received the O-status from the FEI. This is the highest status an FEI-official can get. National judge Jaap Boom is promoted to candidate international judge and is now allowed to judge at international driving events.

De 60-jarige Jaap Boom jureert al jarenlang op nationaal niveau en is tevens gediplomeerd meninstructeur. Boom was van 1996 tot 2004 chef d’equipe van de Nederlandse vierspannen waarmee hij vele successen behaalde. Boom, die in het dagelijks leven werkzaam is als coördinator op het Groenhorst college in Nijkerk, vervult bovendien al een aantal jaren de functie van wedstrijdleider op de internationale vierspanwedstrijden van Breda Hippique. Breda was afgelopen weekend succesvol gastheer van het WK mennen aangepast sporten.

Bonhof is een bekend, erkend en geliefd internationaal jurylid die zeer regelmatig op een groot aantal internationale menwedstrijden deel uitmaakt van het jurycorps. De 70-jarige Bonhof jureerde bovendien op het WK vierspannen in Beesd 2008, het WK tweespannen in Kecskemét, Hongarije in 2009 en maakt begin volgende maand deel uit van de jury van het WK vierspannen in Kentucky.
Door zijn O-status mag Bonhof nu benoemd worden tot voorzitter van de jury op landenwedstrijden (CAIO’s) en Wereldkampioenschappen. Peter Bonhof is zeer gelukkig met de toekenning van de FEI: “Ik beschouw dit als kroon op mijn werk als jurylid.”

 

Bonhof is a well-known, recognized and beloved international judge who regularly judges at many international driving competitions. Bonhof, who is 70 years old, also judged at the World four-in-hand Championships in Beesd 2008, World Pairs in Kescekemét 2009 and is member of the Ground Jury at the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games in Kentucky. With this O-status, Bonhof may now be appointed President of the Jury at CAIO competitions and World Championships.

Jaap Boom has been judging for many years at national level and is also a certified driving instructor. Boom was the chef d’equipe for the Dutch horse teams from 1996 to 2004 and achieved many successes. Boom (60) is also the Show Director of the international four-in-hand competitions at Breda Hippique who successfully hosted the World Para Equestrian Driving Championships last weekend.
