Mechelen: Fantastic win for Koos de Ronde

Koos de Ronde put down a superb performance this afternoon by winning the FEI World Cup Driving event in Mechelen. The Dutch driver stayed far ahead of his fellow competitors Christoph Sandmann and Michael Brauchle with a very fast clear round. After both Brauchle and Sandmann made mistakes in the second round, De Ronde only had to drive and finish safely. But De Ronde showed true sportsmanship and let the enthusiastic crowd in the Nekkerhal enjoy fantastic driving sport.
IJsbrand Chardon set the fastest time in the first round but had to pay this off with five knock downs which made him end on the fifth place.
