Pony drivers get into World Championship mood at Breda
The Prinsenhoeve Estate in Breda, the Netherlands, hosted an international driving competition for all pony classes and horse teams last weekend. It was the second time in a row that all pony classes were invited to compete at Outdoor Brabant, which is warming up for the FEI World Combined Pony Driving Championships next year.
Over 80 pony drivers had entered for this great event and the OC had like last year, built special pony marathon obstacles. The event started on Wednesday with the dressage for the pony singles, but the competition had to be stopped because of the extremely bad weather conditions. Thunder and lightening made the OC decide to postpone the competition and the remaining 7 competitors started on Thursday morning.
After five days of tight battle in a nice atmosphere, the winners were crowned in the main arena.
