Sandringham then and now – from novice and beyond

Ten years ago at Sandringham the winning novice pony score was 62.7: this year it was 45.2. The standard of driving in all three phases has risen significantly throughout the novice national classes, being pushed by dedicated amateur drivers and led by trainers, some of whom compete in the open and advanced classes or in ridden dressage.
